Jim Pennington of
California is Auction raised. The son and grandson of
Auctioneers, he sold his first equipment auction at age
16 and was the 2000 International Livestock
Auctioneering Champion in Calgary, Canada. Jim is a past
president of the California State Auctioneers
Association, and a life member of the National
Auctioneers Association. He has been featured as a
speaker at the National Auctioneers Convention on the
topic of bid calling.
During his auction
career of 25 years, Jim was the owner and Auctioneer of
Western Stockman’s Market Inc., one of the largest
livestock auctions in the country. During his
auctioneering career, he sold over a billion dollars
worth of assets. Jim was the founder of Pacific Auction
Exchange, Inc. Real Estate Auction Company. PAX Inc. is
the first and only real estate auction franchise company
in the country and continues to sell franchises
throughout the West.
Jim’s desire to be the
best inspired the formation of the World Champion
College of Auctioneering by bringing together the best
Auctioneers in the world to afford their students the
opportunity to pursue their goals of becoming successful
in the auction business. |
